#IDAHOBIT 2026!

What is IDAHOBIT?

The 17th May, marks the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia, a global moment of solidarity and resistance for LGBT+ communities. Also known as IDAHOBIT! This years' theme is "At the heart of democracy," as a reminder that truly democratic societies must be grounded in justice and freedom for all. IDAHOBIT is a shared moment for communities and allies across the world to generate change in ways that reflect local realities and traditions.

We recommend getting involved this year and there's so many ways you can! For example, share on social media information about IDAHOBIT, issue a statement of LGBT+ solidarity and to reject discrimination, review your organisations equality policies and procedures, or show visible support; do you have a flag you can put up? Every act of solidarity and support contributes to a shared goal of equity!
