Black History & Badges at Poole!
Earlier this month at Poole group it was Black History Month & Badge Making. The young people were asked to research 3 prominent black icons - Lady Phyll, Ted Brown, and Marc Thompson. These individuals have made significant contributions to improve the lives of LGBT+ individuals within the UK. Young people were split into groups and each group had to research an individual and present it back to the other groups.
The Rest of the session was badge making!
The young people enjoyed learning about Black History Month and having to present to other groups helped them improve their public speaking. Young people always love making badges!
