Friends for a day

Molly and I we set out

Off up the high street

See what’s about.

So here we are on our way

Two jolly companion’s just for a day.

You old and deaf

Not to be left

Each other’s company today we will keep.

Lots to examine and sniffs as we trot

Woodland walks

And dogs shop’s

They were the best!

Time now for coffee and a rest.

At this little crooked bookshop

So full of interest

We stop and relax,

All cosy and snug watching folks going by.

Yes Molly and me

Out on an adventure

Both rather old but still quick on our toes.

A last poke around

To see what treasures can be found,

Then a good lap of water before homeward bound.

What a great day we have had

Molly dog and I

As home we head for lunch and a nap.

Two elderly friends just for today

Both rather hoping we can still find our way.
