On Saturday we held our Space Family Day in Wareham. On these days we support the families with trans children. The day is open to trans young people, their siblings and parents / carers / guardians. Each day there is a different topic, such as healthcare, education, and legal transitioning. During the day along side the discussion topic the young people and their siblings do arts and crafts, and as you can see there is a lot of talent amongst them.
We often have visitors to these days who are representatives from other organisations, for example we have had a community police officer, MP's and NHS Dorset representatives. On Saturday MP Vikki Slade came along.

Each session Space Youth Project provides a lunch for all attendees. On this day unfortunately we had 2 families cancel at the last minute meaning we had food left over, and rather than take it home ourselves we decided to donate this to the community fridge the venue has. We did this because where we can Space Youth Project likes to support the whole Dorset community as well as the Dorset LGBT community.
