Kingston Lacy visit

A fun day at the National Trust property, starting with a woodland walk, visiting the play area, wandering through a bamboo forest and into a Japanese garden to see the Japanese maples in full Autumn foliage, followed by a visit to the Café area to eat our lunch.

At 1 pm we met Emma who was our tour guide around the house, a very instructional tour viewing treasures that had been collected by William John Bankes, revelling in the sights of opulent splendour throughout the house which drew cries of envy from several of the young people.

We then went to the Kitchen garden for coffee, ice creams and a debate on WJB. titled Hero or Zero?

We had hired a Mini Bus from Weymouth College with Driver, Paul, who stayed with us throughout our visit enjoying interacting with us all, he said he thoroughly enjoyed leaning more about LGBT issues.

A very good day out lots of fun and good laughs were had with over 5 miles walked helping fitness.
