Healthy Treat making at Weymouth!

At Weymouth group, Liz from the Friendly Food Company came to do cooking with the young people. This time they were making chocolate chip cookies and ice cream!

Yes they are sweet treats but a healthier version than shop bought and all completely Vegan. Although Space Youth Project like to encourage healthy eating everyone needs a sweet treat now and then, and by making these items vegan and homemade you can have the odd indulgence!

The young people learnt new skills in baking, such as swapping ingredients-oat milk instead of eggs and looking at products to see what they actually contain to see if they are vegan friendly. The young people loved working with Liz who is very enthusiastic and inspiring and we all enjoyed the end product.

Thank you Liz and the Friendly Food Company!

While the cookies were cooking and the ice cream setting some of the young people enjoyed a game of giant Jenga
