Late last month some of our young people took the opportunity to visit Brownsea Island thanks to the National Trust who arranged and funded our ferry trip over and access to the island, including maps for everyone.
During the day they got to see the beautiful Island in all it's glory as the sun was shining. They explored the wooded areas, the small coves, the ancient monuments and the church. They were shown how to look for edible plants & fungi by one of the young people who is a keen forager and were even joined for part of their walk by a local resident peacock!
A great day was had by all, and they boarded the ferry home, tired, with sore feet but big smiles on their faces.
