On the 10th April, Space Youth Project got to visit Happy Bottom Nature Reserve for a fantastic day of learning and getting out in nature. The Happy Bottom team welcomed us with open arms and had lots of engaging activities for us to get stuck into, such as making seed bombs, identifying different specimens, and a biodome blitz! We all learnt a lot more about our local wildlife and were able to start identifying specific species and variations with help of the team and guide books.
The YP had a fantastic day and this is what they said about the trip.
"It was a very fun day and the staff were really nice. It was as educational as I expected it to be but I didn't expect it to be so relaxing to be in nature."
"I was very happy after visiting, we were frolicking and skipping around the nature reserve with lots of whimsy. I also was able to become a lot closer with the others who attended the trip and made friends."
"I really liked it and the staff were really lovely, I hope we get to go back!"
"It was a really cool trip and I loved that we got to connect with nature and learn to identify local wildlife and get some fresh air. Plus the staff were so nice!"
