Sea Sculptures at Weymouth!

At Weymouth group they started the evening with a fun bingo ice breaker which got everyone talking as they welcomed a few visitors to the group that night. Kathrine from Weymouth town council came to the group and helped them get involved with a project that she is organizing that involves the Weymouth group making a sea sculpture out of beach waste. They collected lots of rubbish from the beach and they have made a start on their rainbow fish theme sculpture. The sculpture will be displayed on Weymouth seafront in the summer.

Camille who is a PCSO with Dorset Police, also came to the group to connect with the young people and help them with the sculpture, which was really enjoyable and lots of fun. Poppy from Dorset Youth came along to chat to the young people to find out what Space Youth Project means to them. The young people are excited for the next group when we will be finishing the sculpture.
