The young people were lucky enough to be invited by Cap at Max Gate in Dorchester part of the National Trust for a visit to help plant rainbow veggies.
Despite the heat (30+) they had a fab day, Caps and the team were as always very welcoming and pleased to see us.

Caps had set up a shady cool oasis of table and chairs under the sprawling trees with cold drinks and biscuits ready for the young people.
Caps had put a lot of thought and planning into the day and had a great vision to build a willow structure around one of the veg patches and plant it with multi coloured veggies.
The young people got stuck in dragging and sawing branches and built a fab structure. They had loads of breaks and took it in turns in the sun to keep everyone as cool as possible whilst keeping hydrated and their sun tan lotion topped up.
They managed to plant a few veggies and get them watered in before it got too hot they then had a tour of the house before lunch with Chris who was great and really informative.
They all had their packed lunch together under the trees and Caps discussed with the young people ideas for future visits.
A great day was had by all. A HUGE thanks to Caps and their team
