CD Decorating at Weymouth!

At Weymouth group the activity was to decorate old CD's that were being thrown away with songs / artists that resonated with the young people. The idea for this was a person being interviewed to volunteer with SYP.

The young people really enjoyed the activity and came up with some amazing designed as you can see, we have some very talented artists at Weymouth group. It was also a great way to recycle plastic that was just going to be thrown away which links in with the SYP environmental policy

Whilst doing the activity the young people discussed books and managed to tick some off the groups book bingo card! There were conversations about the importance of high factor sun cream in this very hot weather, people should be using factor 30 as a minimum and reapplying throughout the day especially if they are in and out of the water.

Recommendations for affordable, good quality and high factor sun creams were shared . The young people came up with a chant for the Bourne Free Parade at the weekend, Jane the Leader In Charge of Weymouth group did a fantastic demonstration of the finished chant that everyone enjoyed!
