Bug Hotels at Dorchester!

They had a good time at Dorchester group making Bug hotels with Ruth from The Centre for Sustainable Health Care.

First they explored a small area of Borough Gardens to collect dried leaves, sticks etc to make their big houses with. They then decorate tin cans and plant pots ready to fill. Pride seem to be a theme in for decorating. As they crafted Ruth explained more about her role and opportunities that may come up for young people to get involved in. They also talked about who some of the residents of the hotels will be and how they will make their homes. Young people had a lot of interest and were keen to look up insects Ruth was talking about.
